A place of astonishing power and beauty in the Andes of Ecuador. Cotopaxi is an active volcano and was erupting at the time of our visit though on the other side of the mountain. There is a fresh and wild aspect to life in its vicinity. There were storms all around us; lightening and tornadoes also known as tears of the angels. Vast open sky filled with nature's power and glory.
