National Folklore Ballet of Ecuador (15)
Traditional Andean Indian costumes, music and performance presented by the Indians of Ecuador themselves. Such sweet people. I enjoyed their performance very much. -
Volcano Cotopaxi, Ecuador (20)
A place of astonishing power and beauty in the Andes of Ecuador. Cotopaxi is an active volcano and was erupting at the time of our visit though on the other side of the mountain. There is a fresh and wild aspect to life in its vicinity. There were storms all around us; lightening and tornadoes also known as tears of the angels. Vast open sky filled with nature's power and glory. -

Banos, Ecuador (14)
Captured between the Pastaza river and the active Andean Tungurahua volcano, though Banos, Ecuador has a world wide reputation as the place for young travelers seeking the thrills of extreme sports and nature adventures, in truth, it is a town with something for everyone. Unable to grow in size because of its location, Banos has grown in diversity by embracing all that it and the surrounding region has to offer. These images represent a small sample of the many delights that the Banos region has to offer. -
Big Cypress, Florida (43)
For two years running now, my friend Kris and I have hiked the 29 mile section of the Florida Trail from south to north between Tamiami Trail and Alegator Alley. This year we spent four days and three nights on the trail. It has been a wet winter and about fifteen miles of the trail was covered with ankle to knee deep water making the hike quite intense. Yet the beauty of the place is undeniable. We caught it in early spring so things were just beginning to bloom. I hope these pictures give you some sense of our adventure and that you enjoy them as much as we did our hike this year. -
Ecuadorean Headwaters of the Amazon (21)
Cloud forests, waterfalls, trails that switch back and forth, wooden suspension bridges and cable trams. Just a few of the major features of trekking in the eastern foothills of the Ecuadorean Andes. Here are a few photographs of the endless variety of life forms in this region. -
Pailon del Diablo (Calderon of the Devil), Ecuador (15)
Ecuador has many waterfalls accessible via jungle paths and wooden suspension bridges. Pailon del Diablo is one of the more spectacular. -
Edgy (11)
Slightly provocative. A bit evocative. And sometimes downright odd. Images can speak of so many things.
